Connosr sells its 50% stake in Whisky & Music event Pure Festival

As many of you will be aware Connosr co-founded an exciting new 'Music & Whisky' festival in 2011 which took place across two days in September and brought together some of the finest bands and whiskies known to man.

The event, which took place in London, was a great success garnering praise from the press, whisky industry and festival goers alike (and we were even nominated for Best New Festival at the 2011 Festival Awards!)

It's fair to say that we had a lot of fun setting the event up, meeting some lovely people along the way and introducing a whole bunch of music fans to the wonderful world of whisky! Some of you helped out over the weekend and a few even travelled from as far afield as Seattle to be there - which was a great honour for us.

We founded the festival with music and brand partnership specialists, Brand New Music, and when they approached us last month to take a 100% controlling stake in the event it was an offer which was too good to turn down. With plans for further development on Connosr, and Whisky Marketplace growing week by week, this also ties in nicely with our aim to focus our efforts online for the second half of 2012.

So, thanks to everyone who supported the event in 2012, we'd like to wish the very best to Nick McEwen at Brand New Music as he builds on the success of last year's event and takes Pure Festival to great new places.
