First review of anything but since I did not see a review of this one so I thought,why not?
Nose-Caramel/toffee,alcohol,cola,honey. When I first opened this I did nose peat but after being opened for about 8 months the little peat I nosed is gone.
Palate with a few drops of water- very sweet with some spice on the back, not much alcohol burn. Similar to Nadurra 16 but better IMHO.
Finish-Long sweet and spicy finish.
Final comment-There was some kind of residual Peat when I first opened this but after all these months it is long gone.Tasted it tonight beside Nadurra 16 and Balvenie 12 SB. I enjoyed this one more than the other 2

There is a lot of very good Caol Ila out there. Jim Murray has stated that he thinks that Caol Ila malt is at its best unpeated.
I am happy to drink Caol Ila malt with or without the peat.
