Nose: Floral and almost lightly grapy. It reminds me rather of a very young and light cognac. Butter salted caramel. Malt and pepper! Dusty and floury, too, along with vanilla frosting. Pralines! I like pralines (and turtles). A nice save there. This is nice. (with water) More on the powdered sugar notes.
Palate: A bit rough and oak-forward. There are some sour flower notes that remind me of some of the Balcones expressions that I've had. Odd. Vanilla, malt, stale lemons. Swims well, similar notes, but perhaps more palatable, if you'll excuse the pun.
Finish: Another similar profile with similar notes. Nice and a bit of a role player with the sour floral notes. A few rough edges, but a decent pour.
