I started drinking whisky when a bottle was bought for me in 2006, started off small and have since worked my way up through to the quality malts and blends. Love going to Whisky shows with a couple of my close mates, and havent really found a whisky I wouldnt drink again!
I'm hoping that this site will allow me to meet like-minded individuals who enjoy the good stuff as much as I do!
I warn you now, my reviews are very basic, I'm afraid I dont go into too much detail with characteristics and proper tasting notes, but I feel they get the point across!

An Cnoc 16 Year old - How Do I Pronounce This Again?

Auchentoshan Valinch 2011 Release - A Thief By Any Other Name....

I saw this whisky as a bit of a random purchase really, I like the standard Auchentoshan malts and thought I should take a punt on the Valinch due to its name really! It’s a very light yellowy-brown … read more

Glenmorangie Lasanta - Sherry for the Evening

Sherried whiskies can be an acquired taste I suppose, and at times I think it can be limited to the less wider-known malts. However Glenmorangie have the Lasanta, which is easily obtainable at a pretty… read more

Compass Box The Peat Monster - A Monster? Not So Sure

The Peat Monster was the final one in the mini tasting session, and it rounded off the evening nicely! It was very pale, looking quite young and light. On the nose i found it a struggle to get past the… read more

Hey dude, really great to see you too at Pure! Wish I could have been there to help the team out more, but was very enjoyable savouring some whiskies together on the sunday! Hope to see you soon at the next event (probably TWE whisky show I'd imagine), in the meantime will definitely get my ass into gear and start putting up some more reviews again! Take care, O
