One day a switch flipped and I discovered whisky. What was once a liquor category I wouldn't come near, suddenly began to consume my interests. I started with rye, and drinks like the Manhattan, but I quickly found my pace and marched straight into the single malt room.
I read all that I could get my hands on, and when mere descriptive prose could no longer satisfy, I booked a trip to Scotland. In two short weeks, I dragged my husband to over 20 Scottish distilleries. Today I'm confident in tasting and identifying what I like, and working on elaborating my palate. The huge scope of what is yet to be learned and tasted seems like a pretty great map to explore.
Aside from whisky, I'm passionate about food and movies. I work at an ad agency, and I believe money is best spent on travel.
