I've been enjoying whisky/whiskey and bourbon for many years now. I've sampled a few brands and have several favorites, with Macallan from Sherry casks at the top of the heap. However, I've recently decided to explore a wider variety of whisky, especially the Islay brands people seem to be so fond of. I've tried a few in the past and have always felt that were too peaty, or had strong iodine flavors. Hoping my palate has developed some over time. Looking forward to sitting down with a nice cigar and some great whisky.
