It's very rare that I buy blended whisky but this one is a rare find. Take note of the ABV on this one - its 43%. Most that you can find is 40% abv.

The Master Blender has brought together over 40 of Scotland's greatest malts, matured for at least 12 years in oak casks, creating a whisky that is fully rounded with the perfect balance of honey, oak, fruit, spice and a creamy texture with an excellent finish.

Color: Honey gold.

Nose: Honey sweetness, vanilla bean from the cask, elderflower, orange blossom, nice hint of peat smoke, resin. Complex yet clean.

Palate: Excellent and round. Creamy, fruity, oak sweetness, cereal grain, bananas, dark chocolate, spice (black pepper) toffee, mouth coating. Gentle and smooth yet very expressive.

Finish: Savory, roundly fruity... pepper attacking in a very pleasant way, oaky, lingering and well defined.

This is very, very, very good blended whisky- it's worth chasing down.
