This very pale Bowmore was bottled by David Stirk's Creative Whisky Company in their Exclusive Range series, meaning it's a single cask.

The nose is a mix of tar and resin, slightly peaty and very sweet with citrus notes. It takes some effort to discover sea weed. I found the nose to be rather closed and very soft.

This dram is very creamy and salty on the palate with nice fruity bursts along the way. Good, flawless but a bit... to well-behaved.

The long finish remains salty, almost brackish, as if you've just gotten a mouthful of tropical seawater.

Truth be told, I was not overly impressed by this Bowmore.
