Tasting Notes by aquarius

This is a 13 year old cask strength bottling. The distilery and the bottle are well worth of taking a nice walk from the Pitlochry village. I highly recommend it to everybody that has a chance to do it.

As the very nice old lady (I am sorry to forget her name) in the distilery put it; It is just about right to drink it, without water of course (refering to the ABV %), and then confirming my choice as a very good one for my first Edradour. Personaly I like it with just a splash of water.

The colour is dark gold, the body light. The nose was somewhat confusing, especially for a greenhorn as myself. A bit of toffee, a bit of lemon, sharp even with water, sweet. Quite tingly on the tongue and creamy, with a spicy, dry, bitter finish, even with a hint of smoke. I would recommend it as an after dinner dram in a relaxed atmosphere.

Maybe not for every taste, quite controversial among all the friends that tasted it. I am not sure why, but I can say the ones that liked it miss it already (including myself). Definitely the one that will leave a nice memory behind. Until next time.
