Tasting Notes by BMWS

We sampled this whisky on the 31st of October 2012, it is a very enjoyable dram. Full of different flavours, which work very well together. It has an initial kick, which calms with time. A tiny (and I mean tiny) splash of water calms it right down, and brings out much more flavours.

Colour: Very dark, honey gold.

Nose: Very strong kick of treacle, toffee, coffee, spices and oranges.

Body: Full and smooth

Palate: Spicy and zesty. Dark chocolate, oranges, pears, coffee, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mellows as you keep it in your mouth.

Finish: Smooth, long aftertaste. Leaves a warm glow of spiced orange, toffee, caramel and vanilla.

All in all, a very enjoyable dram. Would go well with a fine cigar.
