I will continue with another Wilson & Morgan bottling, but moving to Campbeltown. This Glen Scotia is 20 Year Old and matured since 1991 on a sherry butt.

The nose is rather closed and needs some hand warmth. Besides some dark fruit I get primarily mocha and coffee. Some dry leaves, too. Almonds. Make that marzipan. There is something in there that make me think of rust. Newspapers, even. Blackberries. Light tannine. I am far from head over heels at this point.

It is very creamy and round, surprisingly sweet with again mocha in the lead. Gravy? Could have done with a little more punch, though.

The rather short finish is slightly drying. Mocha yet again. That deserves a title.

I have had much worse Glen Scotia, but also much better. Thanks to The Bonding Dram for the sample.
