This dram is part of the old stock left to mature in the GG warehouses prior to the purchase and revival of the distillery. It was released in 2010, and has been quite successful , and is out of stock in most online sites I’ve looked at. (I’ve seen a few bottles on RMW). It’s interesting to see how this older stock differs from the new “Revival” . And one more observation : Cool decanter bottle, right?

Nose: A lovely mélange of cereals, wood spice ,honey vanilla and wood. It also reveals hints of lemony or citrus peel. Very fragrant and classic. Palate : Wood spice, malty with quite a bit of wood influence but in a yummy way. Toasted oak, vanilla and some nuts and almonds. Bitter almonds that is. Very rewarding. Finish: Bitter sweet. With vanilla spice and Espresso at the very end.

A yummy and complex dram. Really lovely, and makes you come back for more. Too bad it’s not widely available now.
