nose:a lot different to what i tried before no big sherry, raisin, treacle, beefy aromas. This is softer more fruity, blackcurrants, cherries, oranges, honey, spicy. Mouthwatering.

palate:lovely rich, warm, quite dry and oaky. The fruitiness isnt there as much as i was expecting more creamy sherry notes than anything else. Gets more in keeping with the nose with a few drops of water.Delicious with or without anyway.

finish :quite a long finish fades into a light liqourice, raisin, cough syrup taste.

comment:i think this has definely overtaken the the glendronach 15 revival as my favourite sherried so far, gonna have to knock a point of cos i gave it a 10 but hey shit happens.

I may not agree with your scores, but I sure like your review titles! Keep 'm coming (but try to use some interpunction like spaces behind the comma etc... it will make your reviews look much better). Thanks for sharing!

thanks mate, will try and make the next reviews after the kilchoman one a bit easier to read. Im not sure what happened with the kilchoman title,i seem to have ended up with a few more words than i planned-whoops.Maybe it was the 2 glasses of glenlivet and the other 2 glasses of kilchoman coming into play....

I agree with your scoring kian. I tasted this at the Manchester whisky festival last year and decided it was the best whisky I'd ever tasted. Sensational. I went to the BBR shop in London a few weeks later and tragically they'd sold out, and the guy there agreed it was a wonderful bottling. First fill sherry casks left for a nice long while. I left the shop with a 1985 / 2006 Dailuaine which, while lovely, doesn't touch the 1982 Glenlivet. Enjoy if you were lucky enough to get one!
