This one is no Slumdog Millionaire. This cask strength beauty is straight from Bollywood. With Western influence, like the movie Bollywood/Hollywood. Groomed and balanced, with explosions of spices mixed in a smooth palate. Super smooth, when looking at the alcohol per volume level.

Paul John Single Cask P1 164 is a crossbreed of Speyside and India. Bringing together two types of storytelling. Nice and complex dram.

Nose: Honey fades away fast and creamy toffee rises. Fruity notes with licorice and hints of floral feel.

Taste: Barley and spices with hints of dryness. Licorice and vanilla along with sweet fruits and caramel join the palate with time. Bit oily.

Finish: Too quick. Lightly spicy, fruity and sweet.

Balance: Very very sophisticated when thinking about the ingredients and the ABV. Good whisky!

Is there actual Speyside whisky in this, or is this just partially in the Speyside style?

Sorry, ment to say "like a crossbreed of Speyside and India". I think they have distilled it in Goa, India. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, which isn't so Speyside but still, somehow the sweetness and fruity notes made my mind wander towards Speyside.
