Nose (Undiluted): Wood (freshly-cut Cherry crossed with White Oak) and Licorice.

Palate (Undiluted): Lots of wood, very light spice.

Finish (Undiluted): Medium finish with lingering light oak.

Despite the feeling of being in a lumber mill chewing on a 2 by 4, this is definitely one of my favorite relaxing single malts. It's mellow and somehow the taste just works.

I just could not bring myself to water this down and before I could work up the courage the bottle was gone. Perhaps next time.
