Review:

This Super from Nikka has been on the market since 1962. And it's here to stay with good reason.

The story behind this Super is not that easy to unravel. The blend is a spirit from two distilleries: Yoichi delivers the peated signle malt, while Myagikyo adds their unpeated dram. The result is surprisingly good.

The nose is excellent: firm, fresh, pure and filled with honey and figs. A little peat for good measure. Very sweet!

On the palate it becomes a little syrupy with spices, malt and a tad of lime.

The finish, which I found to be somewhat long, but very clean, doesn't really stick. It does keep you warm though.

This is a very easy-drinking dram with a wonderful nose (which takes the most of the points here).
