Tasting Notes by markjedi1

Just like the official Flora & Fauna bottling, this independent Rosebank from Signatory, is 12 years old. It's very light in color, like Chardonnay wine. It's a vatting of casks 4700-4702.

The nose is even more delicate than the official one, but needs a little more time to reveal the fruity character: lime, grapefruit, green apples and some toffee (this were ex-bourbon casks, after all). She (for Rosebank is a lady!) is very mild.

Subtle and smooth, she rolls over the tongue, with lots of citrus notes... but she lacks the schwung that I so appreciate in the official version.

The finish is rather short and reminds me of... errr... vodka lemon. Hmm?!

Light, floral: yes. A grand Rosebank: no. A wonderful dram notwithstanding.
