Springbank 2003 28y A friend gave me a sample, this is one of the most complex scotches I've had. It would take several tastings to get all that this Scotch has to offer. Tight legs in the glass.

Nose: perfume, florist shop, red licorice, wheat cereal, zest, green apple, polish, wax, candied fruit, anise.

Pallet: dry, red pepper, red licorice, wax, spices, root beer, zest, supper complex. Finish: long as hell, anise, bitter in a good way like a great IPA, zest lasts.

Conclusion: smooth for the ABV, coats the entire mouth strange for a dry scotch. Crazy complex, I could nose it all night and not drink it, I could drink it all night long, Thick if you know what I mean.

never had anything like it.

Longrow is Springbanks big peated brother, made at the same distillery so you can easily draw your own conclusions whether to try one of those

@PeatyZealot Longrow CV is at the top of my list on future purchases. I'm a big boxing fan as well. Cheers
