A sherried St George’s? An Anglo-Spanish delight or a Euro disaster? Sherry lovers we know really rate this, one of our club members thought this one of the best whiskies on offer at the recent Whisky Show in London. This is in our limited St. Georges tasting pack.

Nose: Sharp and quite vinegary at first. Rootsy and not altogether pleasant. Intense and autumnal. But it softens with time.

Palate: full and rich drying sherry, with dried berries, currants and prune. The fullest flavoured English whisky so far.

Finish: dried fruit and liquorice stick. Burnt treacle. Medium long but longest finish from this distillery so far. Still obviously young, but delightful and striding forwards. Onwards and upwards…
