I'm signed up for the Ardbeg Day celebration at Julio's in Westborough, MA. I'm really looking forward to it.

Ardbeg Day in Seattle is this Friday evening at MacLeods in Ballard. Looking forward to a fun event and some Ardbeg whisky. A great way to start the weekend.

In my county, Ardbeg Day lists for $ 81.63 tax included. I don't know yet whether listed stocks are pre-reserved however. We are usually at the low end on prices for Ardbeg. (eg sale that ended 5-29-12 sold Corryvreckan at $ 65.39 total; the non-sale corry price is $ 77.44)

@Victor...it seems like your county is ALWAYS on the low end of the pricing spectrum! :)

Well it's finally Ardbeg Day! No events in Brisbane and I'm not going all the way down to the Gold Coast for a dram. So.. no "Ardbeg Day" whisky for me today. I may open an Ardbeg Ten tonight however, if I feel like it.

@systemdown Can't go out tonight, I think I'll just enjoy my vatted Sheep Dip 1990 which has a 25 yr old Ardbeg in it. A toast to those of us who can't go to an Ardbeg event for one reason or another!

Ardbeg day in Vienna - was fun with food & nice people at Potstill (Embassy) and the best part - I got one bottle! Slainte to everybody!

Managed to get a bottle of Ardbeg Day ordered without any hassle, and going to celebrate tonight with a drop of Airigh Nam Beist from the hip flask... WOOOOOO!

My wife and I attended Ardbeg Day in Seattle. We had the pleasure of hanging out with @Evarees and her husband at the event. What a fun night. My initial impression of Ardbeg Day is that it falls somewhere between Ardbeg Ten and Alligator. It is a very drinkable whisky, but for me, it didn't have the "WOW" factor that I got when I first tried Super Nova, Corryvreckan or Uigeadail. Maybe that's an unfair comparison and don't get me wrong; Day is a very good whisky. It just didn't blow me away.
jasonbstanding wrote:
@lmann86 Incidentally, what's wrong with "just another Uigeadail"? Uigeadail's awesome! (if not, utterly unpronouncable) Only 7 out of 34 reviews here on Connosr rated it less than 90...
lmann86 wrote:
@jasonbstanding There isn't anything wrong with another Uigeadail it's just that I can buy Uigeadail for $64 so why spend $100 on the same thing. That's all I was saying. I bought a bottle of Ardbeg Day either way. Would never turn down a new or special bottle from them.

Ended up coming home from the celebration with a bottle of Day and another bottle of Alligator. :-)

Well, my family and I pooled some resources and we were able to secure six bottles of Ardbeg Day. It's going to be a looooooooong summer :)
maltster wrote:
@markjedi, isn´t greed against the Jedi ethos... ;) - enjoy the bottles - I just managed to get one bottle but I really like it!

@maltster Greed, you say? That is the dark side! But I'm sharing, so I'm not a Sith yet.

@maltster......I really wish we could post photos here so I could show you my scotch display shelf (most of my bottles are stored unceremoniously in my basement).....I have my wife's Darth Vader Steinbach nutcracker standing in the middle of my scotch bottles (currently the Ardbeg Day is on the shelf with him). In fact, most of my bourbon drinking friends refer to scotch as going to the "dark side".
maltster wrote:
if scotch is the dark side than I´m all black - like an architect (who I am) should be ;) may the malt be with you @markjedi & @TomH.

Anybody taste the new Ardbeg Day bottling? 56.7% ABV, no age statement, and finished in a sherry cask. Won't it be just be another Uigeadail? What're your thoughts
