KBD,Ltd bourbons also include Vintage, Johnny Drum, and Old Bardstown. There is no age statement on the Pure Kentucky XO bottle. Online speculation is mostly that Pure Kentucky XO is 12+ yrs old.
Nose: moderate sweet maple and oak, slightly antiseptic and astringent, light spice
Taste: Very sweet and strong flavours of oak and maple are present. This is very spicy as well: black pepper, cloves, and bitter orange
Finish: Long and sweet, with the spices exiting a little before the wood
Balance: this is a beautiful bourbon, full flavoured, spicy, sweet, and relatively woody. I highly recommend this bourbon
