Oloroso is true, but I'm pretty sure A'Bunadh releases are not single cask bottlings.

@WhiskyNotes Batch #32 is, according to the (new) label. The packaging has changed as well and the Whisky is now presented in a cardboard cylinder: Perhaps this is a one-off, the #32 (?) The previous batch here in Aust. was #29 and I do keep my eyes peeled. Batch #32 from Dan Murphy, a very large 'chain' is currently available for $Au.99.00.

Strange, that probably means we'll be seeing smaller batches and even less availability of a certain release. Each release will have its own market then.

@WhiskyNotes, batch # 32 with the same packaging and labeling as described by A'bunadhman is currently here on sale in Maryland as well.

I just picked up batch 32 in Virginia (special order only in Virginia). It came with the outer cardboard packaging pretty banged up but the bottle was undamaged. $68.95 here in Virginia. I am interested to try it within the next few days and looking forward to A'bunadhman's review.

@A'bunadhman The label says "single cask Oloroso sherry buttS". Very confusing, but given the large number of bottles that seems to have landed in different stores, it really can't be one single cask.

@WhiskyNotes, could it be that Aberlour is releasing #32 not by the batch but by the cask, such that each cask has been bottled independently? Eagle Rare 10 year-old Single Barrel does this, and the barrel information is very difficult to find.

Yes I suppose that's their explanation, but still it's very confusing. What makes it a batch if each cask is different anyway? And why do they say "oloroso butts" in plural? I'm not convinced it is a single cask release...

Tasting the batch #32 now. Bought in New Jersey USA. This is a little more acidic and a little less cherry then the last time I had Abundh in a bar.

Reading the cardboard tube a little closer it says "Single Cask Maturation in Spanish Oloroso Sherry Butts". I thing all Aberlour is trying to say here is that it is 100% sherry matured and not blened with bourbon casks or done through finishing.

Finally, clarification from Ian Logan at Chivas (posted in another forum):
"Yes, there has been a mistake in the wording on the new A'bunadh label and work is under way to have the changes made as soon as possible. As you are all aware A'bunadh is a selection of first fill sherry butts vatted together and bottled without chill-filtration or addition of e150A. The nature of small batches means that there will always be slight differences in the batches but all having the A'bunadh style. So please dont worry about whats in the bottle, the only thing that has changed is the label and it will be changing agin slightly as soon as we can.

Just available in Australia this masterpiece is not to be missed. The $Au. is doing pretty well at the moment, hence the new lower price of $99.00 - Down from $109.00. I'll write a review soon; as soon as I can get my head around all the magic! This is one of those special experiences which are not easily defined: One where the balance and flavour are so exquisite, and so beautifully interwoven that words don't come easily.
