I've been drinking whisky since I was old enough to go into pubs. Having reached my 50's and mellowed a little I'm now taking more of an interest in what I'm actually drinking, where it's from, how it's made, comparing one whisky to another and building up a decent collection for home enjoyment and sharing with friends. I am a total novice and open to any and all help, recommendations and pointers. I prefer Highland and Speyside malts but am working on widening my horizons. Since joining this website I have discovered the gems that are Auchentoshan, Bunnahabhain, Nikka, Glengoyne and Amrut, so its been worthwhile already!. Cheers
