Have just returned from my semi-annual trip to NH,in the American northeast, and this time I came away with two new (to me) whiskies. First is the Old Potrero 18th Century Style whiskey (100% rye) and the second is The Steward's Solera Bourbon Whiskey. Both were on closeout in the NH state stores, which means they could be had for significant discounts over their retail prices. The Old Portero I had heard of but never encountered, the Solera Bourbon I had never heard of or encountered prior to the trip. The Old Portero has been reviewed on these pages, but I had a hard time finding anything about the Solera Bourbon. I did find one really good review, and the guy wrote that he took eight months before he could figure it out and write his review. I find myself in almost complete agreement.
