Interesting find. Lismore is not a distillery per say but bottles "mystery" whiskies under its name. Apparently they have bottled for Trader Joe's.
Although 21 YO for $150 sounds like a fairly good deal, note that it's only 43%, likely chill filtered. Don't know about caramel.
This one would definitely be a "try before you buy" situation.

Yeah, I've seen quite a few "cheap" bottles by Lismore. Quality is apparently so so on many of them.

Glenfarclas 21 Year Old should about that price point too, I would think.

@sengjc I just purchased a bottle of Glenfarclas 21 for $108 Canadian. Mind you not form the LCBO, but from Sask liquor. One of the best deals I've ever found for sure. It is stellar.

mscottydunc, I can get the Glenfarclas 21 for about $80 US or the 25 for just over $100. Both seem like excellent prices.

@Nozinan, Guess I haven't been paying attention in a while!
Regarding the 21 and 25 yo GF, I was tempted to go for one of these, but the 43 ABV turned me off a bit. I ended up getting the 105, but I haven't tried it yet.

@broadwayblue
Not everything needs to be at cask strength to be packed with flavour, try it, you may be pleasantly surprised plus it is reasonably priced too. :)

has anyone tried Lismore 21yo speyside single malt? its showing in Ontario for $150. that seems almost too low to be boasting the review in the vintages mag. (#426213)
