Which batch was this? Seems a bit less stellar than most.

Aye, that's what several other people have told me... I wish I'd written down the batch number -- I will take a look through my sample bottles the next time I get a chance and see if it's on there.

According to my sample jar, it was batch 35. As the Master of Malt review mentions, it is not as much of a sherry bomb as earlier batches and does need some water to open up.

Just saw this review... funny. Batch 35 is next on my list to open if I run out of my current bottle before I turn 50 (to open my batch 50).

@Nozinan If I follow your lead, I’ll have to wait another 20 years to open my Batch 58.

@OdysseusUnbound I would advise against waiting. I have not yet hit 58 but I tried it with @nock and @victor using the justification that I would never own a bottle myself.

It was excellent.

@paddockjudge Would I do that? How could I do that?

First of all you did all the driving...

Second, could I in good conscience stop at Gios without you?

@Nozinan, mmmmm, Gio's! Tucked away, in the middle of nowhere, at the intersection of two highways, the most amazing food in America!
