Adelphi Cragganmore 1986

Unfortunately this was a bit disappointing, i was really looking forward to a big old fruity Speysider. This was a good whisky but no way was it worth the price ($220 AUD)or the fuss

• Nose: full bodied plums and cherries. With water green bananas, plum and cherries again, slightly menthol, grassy notes and after a while big time vanilla.

• Pallet: tannis and fruity, little spicy, lots of nip. With water properly sweet arrival, then ginger and pepper, almost chili but not quite. Fruit doesn’t get a look in.

• Finish: hot and nippy. With water vanilla ice cream peaches and nectarines.

• Mark neat: 7.9 with water 8.2

Good not great, glad i tasted it but i would be bitter if i had bought a bottle.
