Aldi - Highland Black 8 year old

When I lived for a short time in the UK (and money was tight) I bought a bottle of this. It had some good press, but I must say, I struggled to get through the bottle. I don't have vivid memories of it but it was just OK to me. However, many people have suggested that it punches above its weight, so.... I enjoyed the Aberlour 10, which was often on offer for 20 quid, a whole lot more.

I have tried this one, better than expected, but I too struggled to finish the last third of the bottle.

I worked for Aldi in college. Unfortunately the US stores don't carry this, but some of the Aldi beers are actually pretty good.
