Ardbeg Day?

I have been tempted myself but haven't tried it. I would be keen to hear a comparison to 10yo or Uigeadial.

Personally, I liked miss The Beast. Day is a dram in a similar vein, along with Galileo. Day's got a nice integration of sweet and smoky/peaty/tarry.

If you can buy Day, you're lucky. It's not available in Oregon.

@nickdemaster I was lucky enough to try Day and Galileo last month in Victoria. Must say I wasn't struck by either. I didn't take notes so can't offer specifics, but I didn't think they were up to the "A" standard. I absolutely love the 10; Alligator and Supernova 2010 fall in the 10's shadow at 12 noon on June 21 (so not far behind).

If you study the ratings on WhiskyBase, that collective seems to put Day only a short step behind Alligator. My view, on the other hand, comes from one pair of eyes. Good luck with you decision.

I tried Ardbeg Day last year June 6 2012. ... a disappointment...nothing special. I prefer Ardbeg Uigeadail. Good price... great quality!

I wish i was able to get a bottle, or at least have a taste of it somewhere.

Ugh. Retailer shows it on their website, but a call to the store says no. Sadly, I am not able to get this either.
