The Whisky Mercenary – Belgian bottler – and 't Parlement – fantastic whisky café in Halle – both celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2022 and therefore decided to release a whisky together. Excuse me: two whiskies! A Balmenach and an Ardmore. In my glass is the last one, so of the joint bottling #2, being a young and very pale Ardmore.

Very sweet and at the same time peaty nose on vanilla, smoked mackerel, apple and shoe polish, oyster juice and lemon peels. A little soot as well. I immediately like this.

Good body. Nice and oily. Immediately very sweet on vanilla and even honey, before the peat comes to meddle and gives a big smoky kick against your teeth. Powerful! Mineral and herbal, while apples and lemon come into the debates. Very clean.

The finish is long, leaving the mouth completely warm.

Good. This is my 40th meeting with Ardmore and that went well for me. Great cask selection. About 95 EUR and still available from my good friend Jeroen from The Bonding Dram.
