Finished this bottle recently, and now it can no longer be replaced, at least not like for like. The trend towards greater age in standard bottlings is something I generally rail against, not that I find the 12 year old inferior it’s just less distinctively “toshan” to my palate.

Nose: Light sweet wood sap and linseed oil. Notes of citrus and something else... Brassicas Taste: Linseed again this time with vanilla and notes of cinnamon, nuts, oak and barley malt. Nicely weighted mouth feel, more body than you'd expect from a young lowland malt. Finish: Medium length, dryer and light spiced
