It may have been the 1990 (bottled 2009). The 1989 was bottled in 2007 making it 18 years at best.

I should add, there are more recent bottlings of 1989 but that obviously takes the age up past 20 years for the 2010 and newer bottlings. The 1990/2009 was the only one that I've found that could be 19 years of age, but it could have been something else. I've not tried Balblair yet, I've got a 1997 but I'm not racing to open it.

@systemdown Thanks, I'll also call the bar to confirm —or better go back and try new stuff... Let me know what you think about your bottle when you open it.

I just tasted a Balblair 19 Year in a whisky bar. I wanted to look for it online and even at Balblair's website but I couldn't find it... only the Balblair 1989. Is it the same?
What do you think about this distillery? Since I got into single malts I read some forums and books but never heard of them...
Thanks!
