Blair Athol 12 Year Old 2009 IN2Spirit

The second release of the new Belgian bottler IN2Spirit is a young Blair Athol from of a refill hogshead, which explains it’s pale tan.

Delicious fruity nose on apples and pears, hint of pineapple and the juice of young branches. Barley sugars and apricot pastry on Sunday morning. Another hint of lime and some caramel. Very accessible and very pleasant.

Creamy body! That's mouth-filling. Perfect strength, too. A fine continuation of the nose on baked apples and some citrus fruit with a soft spiciness of the oak. Honey! But... drinks dangerously easy, I must say.

The finish starts sweet, then becomes a bit spicy and finally slightly drying.

Tasty Blair Athol and with its 87 EUR also friendly priced. This was my 35th meeting with Blair Athol and it went very well. Tijs and Steven got off to a good start! And that's half won, right? I'm going to keep following these guys.
