I have to admit that I hardly found any information about this bottling. All I know is that it was bottled exclusively for the Belgian retailer Tasttoe. It came under the Octave label, marketed by Duncan Taylor. An octave is a small cask, allowing for more conversation between the spirit and the wood. A quicker maturation. We shall see.
Sweet, smoky nose. Sweet as in white fruit, vanilla and honey, smoky as in peat (doh!). A mineral side as well. Wet rocks? Slowly but surely the lime shines through.
Powerful taste experience! Now I get a nice combination of sweet fruit, loads of salt and a big smokiness. Rather zesty. Citrus kicks in.
The long finish returns to the sweetness to end in a salty note.
Reminds me a lot of the 10 Year Old Bowmore for Dramalat, another bottling for Belgium a few years back.
