Ooh, the boys and girls of the Belgian whisky club BYOB-C, ‘biopsy’ for short, have released another Mobsters on Mopeds, this time with a Flandria motobike on the label. It’s their 9th release already and immediately also their second grain after that summery Cambus 1987 from two years ago. This time around they chose a 38 years old Cameronbridge!

Very sweet nose on vanilla, banana, white chocolate, candy chain and cherry juice. Hint of lime peel and meringue. Very pleasant.

Good body. Nicely soft and mouth coating. Immediately typically grain with lots of pepper, cloves, liquorice and vanilla, while the fruit evolves towards banana, peach and cherries. Pencil shavings and graphite. Crème brûlée. Marshmallow. Creamy from the second sip forward. This is so good.

Long finish on banana and vanilla, with a feisty note of pepper at the death.

Great choice from our friends at BYOB-C.
