Centennial Limited Edition blended whisky is distilled at the Highwood Distillery. The bottle says that the whisky is "...blended for a smoother richer Rye flavour." There is no age statement on the bottle.

Nose: sweet, fruity, rye spice, and wood altogether. This is robust, but not too smooth.

Taste: Lots of rye spiciness with lots of sweet wine fruitiness all blended together. The wood is noticeable and ok in flavour, but seems to be the typical Canadian old wood flavour which lacks some of the first use flavours present in bourbon. As sweet fruity blended Canadian whiskies go, this one is pretty good.

Finish: strong and long, with the spice leaving before the sweet fruity flavours.

Balance: the bottle has been open six weeks, and this shows much more rye spice flavour and wood flavour than when the bottle was first opened. I like it better now with these flavours present, because the increased rye and wood flavours give better balance to the sweetness. I consider this to be above average in the category of "generic blended sweet fruity Canadian whiskies".
