The only one I have tried is the Spice Tree, and I have found that very enjoyable

I have only tried Peat Monster... and while the Peat is very prominant... it is not Ardbeg or Lagavulin 12 or anything. Most would not really consider it a "monster"... but with that said, it is fantastic if you like peat.

Every comment I have read and heard about Spice Tree is positive. I like it a lot too. Peat Monster is not monstrously peaty, but actually subtle. You probably won't see it available but the Peat Montster Reserve is much more fulsome, and I prefer it very much to the standard Peat Monster. John Glaser is about as good a vatter/blender as they come. It is very hard to go wrong with anything that Compass Box sells.

I do have a bottle a The Spice Tree and it is very good. In fact, I think it is the bottle that will go empty the fastest in the history of my cabinet. It is a sure bet and very delicious. Like the name suggest, it is very spicy and oaky. I tasted the Peat Monster once and it is good too.

I have yet to try any of the Compass box expressions but am very interested. Which one is the best to start with?
