I am glad to see that the cat's heart is still beating within his body.
How many whiskeys did they have you sample altogether? Did you try Buck Yeah? Any sign or mention of Grainiac and Insane in the Grain?
Corsair has a LOT of products, both current and discontinued.

I went through a bottle of that Triple Smoke a few years ago. I enjoyed it a lot. Easy drinking and quite unique.
That Oatrage sounds intriguing. Sons of Liberty, here in RI, make a malt whisky that has tons of the same flavors.

@Victor we had about 7 whiskies and a vodka and a pumpkin infused moonshine. Didn't care for the vodka or pumpkin liquor but I usually don't go for clear liquors. I didn't see any of the ones you mentioned but they have about 80 different mashbills just for whiskey and lots of those are discontinued or currently not in production.

@KRB80 yeah if they hadn't had that single barrel oatrage in today we would have left with the triple smoke.

I thought that Triple Smoke had an OK flavor but was WAAAY too thin. Some stores by me carry single-cask cask-strength versions of it, which I might just spring for one of these days. But I'll never buy the basic one.

@MadSingleMalt it is a little thin. The comment I made after I had it was "This would be great at cask strength."

Thanks for stopping by and trying our stuff. Copper is a cute cat, but kind of a dick. We are planning more cask strength expressions so thanks for the comments on the cask strength. Spencer is a good tour guide, I will tell him you enjoyed his tour even though it will probably go to his head. Thank you for the feedback and for your time. This is Darek, the owner. Cheers.

@darekbell thanks for replying, you're definitely living many of our dreams. Keep it up. I live in Nashville so let me know if y'all release anything new and unique.

Myself and @roro just toured the Corsair Distillery here in Nashville. We had a wonderful time and Spencer was a great guide. Some interesting tidbits: - They have a cat. - They use about 7% of the hearts to make their whiskies. -They are fairly experimental and have some really unique products including quinoa and oat whiskies. -Their still is a copper pot still similar to what you would see in a traditional Irish distillery. - The story behind their logo is very funny and if you want it then message me.
We tried almost all of their whiskies. My favorites are in descending order... 1. Tennessee Single Malt - Similar to a single malt scotch but sweeter, attributing to the virgin oak per US laws I would assume.
Triple smoke - created using three smoked malts; beechwood, cherry wood, and peated. Imagine a sweeter peated scotch with hints or cherry and butterscotch.
Oatrage - Created using 51% oat and barley malted with coffee. Very unique and yummy. Coffee and chocolate.
Wildlife - A smoked malted barley whisky created to simulate the flavors of Tennessee BBQ.
Ryemageddon - Fairly typical rye whiskey.
We ended up buying a single barrel, cask strength Oatrage bottle #116/116 that was put out for sale today! Definitely worth checking out if in the Nashville area.
