This Highland malt matured on refill hogsheads.

Whoa! As luck would have it, I had tasted their entry level 15 years old this week – which I quite like – but this is a totally different league. Seminola, quince, rhubarb marmelade. And so very lively for its age. Mild, but utterly & stunningly beautiful. Exceptional.

Very quaffable with something fresh like menthol that lifts the citrus fruit and sweet plums. Very sweet indeed. Liquid dessert.

The finish is not very long, but super clean and elegant.

I’m impressed. With any luck, Dearly Beloved is reading this and decides to put it under the Christmas tree.
