Hmm interesting. I had posted this question yesterday and it appears to have disappeared.

I'll be in Israel for a couple of weeks and was wondering about anyone's experience with travel retail at BenGurion airport. I'm looking for something good and not available at the LCBO.

I know for travel retail that may be a tall order...

I am not sure if they will have it at the airport you are travelling to, but I brought back two travel retail bottles in October from Mexico that were both great. Highland Park Einar (part of the warrior series), and GlenDronach 16. Would recommend either or both if you can find them.

Sorry, Glen Deveron 16, not GlenDronach.

Glen Deveron (MacDuff) appears to have a 15 on their website but not a 16.

I will look out for it. It's something I can't get here. Do you know if it's craft presented?

The Einar appears to be bottled at 40%. I have never tastes a 40% Scotch that I would reach for on my own so I'll look for something a bit beefier.

I read somewhere that the new/latest Port Charlotte PC 12 supposedly is travel retail only. Is that true? If so, might be worth looking for?

@Nozinan I picked up Glen Deveron 16 & 20 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This was before the announcement by Bacardi of their new range to include Glen Deveron for standard retail. MY understanding is that the 16, 20 & 30 will remain exclusive for Travel Retail, and the core retail range will be 12, 18 & 25.

I emailed the Bacardi branch a few months ago here in Australia to get more information and was ignored.

I saw it at the Toronto LCBO. Bottled at 40 percent I think there are a lot of other expressions I'm more likely to go for.
