Early bottling of Royal Salute

I possess an unopened bottle of Chivas Royal Salute, 86 proof, in a dark green Spode flagon. The tax stamp dates the bottle before 1972. It is in the original box and blue velvet drawstring bag. Pictures are available.

I will entertain offers.

Here's my offer:

Set up a tasting and invite fellow Connosr members and we'll be happy to try it, and share some of our whiskies.

This is a sharing site, not a selling site.

I'm wanting to sell the bottle, not open it! LOL. By my calculations, it may be from the original cask, or at least close.

@MadSingleMalt

What, pray tell, was the "original cask" of this stuff?

@MadSingleMalt Isn't it obvious? it's the original Chivas cask from which all blends come.

@jdfenner I think you took a wrong turn. You've stumbled onto a forum that, in general, does not want to turn our little oasis into a buying and selling site.

lease check out the following and sell your bottle if that's what you want to do:

waddingtons.ca/department/…

www.scotchwhiskyauctions.com

In future, should you be interested in actually learning about whisky and sharing in enthusiasm for all aspects of the topic (other than turning a profit), pop by again.
