Ellington Canadian Whisky

Ellington Canadian Whisky is apparently an export-only whisky. I could find no reference to it on wine-searcher.com and it is not sold by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). There is no distillery listed on the bottle and no age statement

Nose: floral perfume, accompanied by acrid chemicals; muted grain and wood flavours. Would be tolerable without the chemicals

Taste: quite sweet, more so than in the nose, a trace of wine influence; some very sharp flavours, mostly from very bitter wood, but also apparently from some grain, seeming to be rye. Very chemical tasting

Finish: short, bitter, and chemical

Balance: not boring. This makes an impression, but not a good one
