This is a Belgian (yes, you read that right) whisky, only recently thrust upon us.
The 'Double Still' on the label refers to the unique 'double production process' of the Goldlys (which means golden river, named after the color of the river after flax was found rotting in it, oh well).
While I am surely chauvinistic, this Belgian whisky was a serious dissappointment for me, unique production process nothwithstanding.
The finish was somewhat long but it tasted more like gin or geneva than it did whisky.
Goldlys is produced by Filliers, famous for their genevas - which are in fact the best. They should stick to that, I think.
Not my cup of tea. Well, not my tumbler of dram, I should say.
