Whisky Truffles, very seasonal. As Fridays go this is a pretty good one for me, I've got most of the day booked out for Connosr work, currently putting together the design for our newsletter.

I am bringing this up because it is (aside from a Jura advertising post) the thread that has remained inactive the longest. No longer.
A bit of Connosr history.

I'll be sharing a dram with my uncle tonight... front runners include A'Bunadh 47. Over the weekend I hope to have time to get to a review or 2.

It's raining buckets over here, a night to settle in and nurse a few whiskys.

@GoodVintage On call last night, on call tomorrow. It's not raining, but I think a dram is in order.

I skipped last Friday while taking a 10 day hiatus. Tonight, having a sip of Masterson's 10 YO Rye American Oak hand picked in Calgary by Connosr's very own @Nozinan... a big thank you!!

@paddockjudge You're welcome - I enjoy North American whiskies more because of you.
For me...my uncle and I are enjoying Bladnoch 10 YO 55% sherry cask matured. Thank you Raymond Armstrong for creating this. It is fabulous! Even better than when we opened it in December.

Friday night in Boston at a function for a family friend. There were 3 scotches, JW Black, HP 12, and this one, which I believe I had never tried before. I have tried it now and am very happy to have done so.

@Nozinan, Haven't seen this one in BC for years, but I got one in Oregon last year and it is still a very good dram and at 43%. Paid about $60 for it. Got back from Mexicoa about a week and a half ago and I'm still trying to adjust to being cold and/or wet. I did discover that good Scotch down there is around two thirds the price in BC and standard OBs like Glenmo 10 and Balvenie DW are at 43% not 40 like here. Three bottles came home in our checked luggage.

Looking for some seldom opened bottles in my cabinet I came across Ardmore TC on one of the shelves. It's 2/3 full. In the "spirit" of exploring more lower ABV drams to see how my palate has developed, I poured a dram of this 46% offering.

I went for an old friend, Redbreast 12. I had forgotten how easy it is to drink. In the Irish style it is as always the best poor for your money.

Sitting at work trying to make sense of an old crappy Makefile, the whiskytruffles with Mackmyra first edition, Laphroaig Quarter Cask and Ardbeg 10 makes it a little bit less annoying.
