A single cask Glen Scotia – first fill bourbon barrel 465 – that was released as ‘Spring 2019’. Let’s get to work!

The nose is a veritable liquid candy! Unrefined sugar. Vanilla like there’s not tomorrow, but also quite a bit of lime and apricots. Remember those apricot flavored Superman logos? Then a fresh bouquet of flowers and molded wood. Not as ‘dirty’ as I am used to from Glen Scotia, but that’s just fine. However… leave it to breath for ten minutes and it starts to smell like shampoo and buttermilk! Bizarre, funny and pleasant.

The arrival is quite powerful, but very, very perfume-y. This is shampoo, indeed! But to be completely honest: it does work. Lots of white pepper over a handful of candy, soft cough syrup and a truckload of lavender. My god, I need to toothbrush!

The finish is very long, sweet, spicy and… perfume-y.

Well, that’s was weird, but certainly also a very pleasant taste sensation. Pure fun!
