Nose: Pretty great. Sweet, but puts me in mind of the Old Pultney 17 saltiness, too, plus you have some smoke, more syrupy sweetness, citrus, vanilla, a really special nose that had me full on drooling.

Mouth: Decent up front; it feels like it's going to be a peppery challenge but it starts to devolve into something much flatter, which makes you think of the grassy moreishness of, say, Aucthentoshen 12, but then it just sort of pre-finishes into nothinig.

Finish: Nothing - just sort of evaporates away into nil.

You might drink this over the bar ahead of Black Bottle or Grouse, but at £80 a bottle i'll be going nowhere near this one again.

Thanks for the review. I’ve got a 50ml sample of this, so I’ll have to check it out and compare my notes.

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up, I’ve considered it several times. Noted and avoided.
