A Glencadam of no less than 35 years? Sounds promising. I have only ever had two really old Glencadam, both from 1974. I will be taking my time for this bottling from Douglas Laing.
A nicely sweet and herbal scent reaches my nostrils. Fresh on mint. The fruit translates into apples, yellow grapes and even some banana if you give it enough time. A slice of lime takes care of a slightly sour touch. This is good!
The arrival is mildly spicy (pepper, cinnamon), sweet, but mostly very fresh thanks to a truckload of mint. Liquorice emerges Midpalate. Some late sweetened espresso, whipped cream included!
That touch of coffee continues in the long, spicy finish.
Well, I am quite fond of this one. Around 190 EUR.
