Glenfarclas 18 is a whisky found in the travel retail. It comes in litre bottles. My bottle cost me 47 EUR, which simply is a bargain considering the age, quality and size.
NOSE: fruit, honey, wax. A loveley mix of different fruits notes. PALATE: fruit, honey and wax again. A quite complex palate with a freshness despite the age. You can find vanilla, grass and layers of fruit and cream. Wonderful to let this whisky roll in your mouth as you find new tastes. FINISH: fairly long finish. The many layers of taste makes it a very intresting finish aswell.
I'm impressed! A loveley whisky that feels very balanced and with a freshness that I really like. It' s a pity that I only bought one bottle, especially considering the price tag. It light be a winner in the "most whisky for your money" competition!
But it if you find it!
