Here’s a summary of the Cask of Dreams event. Arrive at the event at 7:00 PM. It was located on the 75th floor of the Columbia Tower in downtown Seattle.
Started the evening out with a couple of Scotch cocktails: - Ruby Bean - Double Whisky (? at least I think that was the name)
Both were interesting cocktails based on Scotch, which were my first (outside of a Rusty Nail).
Not certain at what time the barrel was presented but it was rolled out and propped up so anybody could adorn it with words of prose or whimsical notes.
First hour or so the place was packed but thinned out around 8:30 so there were lots of opportunity for tasting as much product as you wanted.
End-less Scotch samples brought around were - 12 yr old - 15 yr old - 18 yr old - Snow Phoenix
I Heard an interesting tid-bit from one the Glenfiddich folk. Seems the Snow Phoenix composes a bottling of 15 year old and 30 year old Scotches. The casks affected by the snow event were of different ages and depending on which bottle you get, it might be a 15 year old or a 30 year old. This makes me want to buy one even more.
While the Scotch samples were passed around, various foods were also passed around. Everything from sausage rolls (cut into slices) to pasties. Lots of fine food to mix with the libations. All in all, a great evening.

Has anybody been to one of the Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams events in the US? I am heading out tonight for the Seattle event and wondering what to expect.
I can post of review of the event too.
