I have but maybe I don't count. Anyway I think that it is a fabulous dram which goes some way to disproving the theory that says age is everything as it noses and tastes like a whisky which is older than it really is. Excellent distilled spirit left to mature in good quality casks then finished for six months in fresh Oloroso sherry casks and a good dose of luck!

Hi Stuart,

I'm quite sure you do indeed count! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We have a case on order and can't wait for it to arrive.

Any chance you'd give us the particulars on the initial maturation casks? I've read they were a combination of first and refill casks, but haven't been able to ferret out whether they're all sherry or included bourbon as well.

Thanks,

Bob

@two-bit-cowboy How do you like the Revival? And do you have the Evolution too?

@Portsoy_Stuart Hope to hear from you too, Mr. Stuart Nickerson. And ofc you count. You may be influenced but as long as we know who you are that's no problem imho. It gets problematic if pple try to make hidden or viral marketing or write great reviews about the stuff they sell on ebay, amazon, etc under false name...

But to be in direct touch with the producers of whisky is a great thing I beliefe. And I think most on connosr think the same. Hope to get more insight from you Stuart!

@Wills The Revival is a good whisky. I'm ever surprised at how much sherry the whisky picked up after only six months in those casks. It seems more like it's fully matured in sherry. And I agree with Stuart that it seems older than it is. No huge surprise that the BenRiach / GlenDronach boys added this to their stable.

I haven't had a chance to try Evolution yet. Have you?

@two-bit-cowboy No and tbh I didn't try any of the Glenglassaugh yet. Just 'discovered' this distillery these days. Thx to Marks video review ;)

But it's on my list now for sure.

@two-bit-cowboy Revival is a 3yo by Glenglassaugh, I Trier in November 2012 and I say you that is a good dram! Fresh at nose but sweet on palate. Delicious malt sugar notes round the tounge. I bought Evolution in Spring 2013. I wanna taste it as soon as possible.

You count...to your family, but your opinion on the product in question is inherently biased, so no, that doesn't count.

I have had the Evolution, it is a very pleasant and fresh malt with plenty of malty sweetness.
